We were really excited to photograph Joanne and Alex because they are always brimming with joy and that's something worth sharing. Although LDRs aren't always easy, they have proven that it does indeed, work.

So, it's mid November and technically still autumn. We've been talking about this shoot for a while and when the day finally came, we spent the day gearing up for it. During a quick discussion about which coat to wear, it suddenly dawned on us that we hadn't looked outside the window all day. The Weather Network promised it would only be cloudy skies with some sun peeking out...surely it would stay that way, right?

Of course, in usual Canadian weather fashion, our seemingly two weeks of autumn ran its course and winter is insisting on an early arrival. When we pulled back the curtains, we all collectively stared out the window in shock, to find dark skies and snow aggressively falling from it. The view from the window looked like someone had added a very blue, Twilight-esque filter over it. We considered waiting until the snow stopped, and for a little bit it seemed hopeful until the snow returned for an encore.

Alex would be flying back home in just a few days time, so a raincheck wasn't an option. We decided to work with our limits and turned our tiny condo into a cozy studio.

...And the results are too cute, to say the least.
